We are happy to announce that the new international ETIM release ETIM 10.0 is now officially published!
ETIM 10.0 is published in the XML format ETIM IXF, but we also offer a version in MS Excel and CSV. All formats are available in ETIM English on our website in the download section, where you can also find the format description. For other languages please ask your local ETIM office.
At this moment it is fully available in English as well as in Dutch, German and Swedish; the other languages will be updated to the current release by the national ETIM organizations and implemented into the ETIM database as soon as available.
The new ETIM 10.0 release is the result of in total 5264 requests for change (RFC). Also 119 new classes have been added. ETIM 10.0 includes the completely new feature groups, as announced earlier, to enable grouping (categorizing) of features in sections in groups like material, electrical or dimensions. Also the class grouping has been substantially reworked and improved, needed due to the merger of sectors in the past and to properly assign new products to the right groups.
Together with IXF 3.1 we also published a new version (V5) of the memo on dynamic ETIM release, updated for the changes in IXF. If you are using dynamic release ‘system-to-system’, please take care to upgrade your system to the new link for IXF 3.1, since the links to the IXF 3.0 variant will be phased out within a reasonable time (around summer 2025).
To see all the changes, you have to look into the available difference reports (for members only) in detail, or consult our online CMT tool.
Some statistics on number of classes per sector etc. see below, many classes for more general products are attributed to multiple sectors.
